As seen in the galleries and read in the “About Us” page we are a North West Company and cater to the sportsman that preferes rugged yet functional rifles. Our rifles tend to have fiberglass or graphite stocks and Cerakote® finishes. We have other options, but the majority of our customers prefer this type of rifle because of their performance in wet and snowy environments.
Actions – By far the most popular action for a custom hunting rifle or tactical rifle is the Remington model 700. It is cost effective, accurate and reliable. We also use actions from Defiant®, Borden®, Batt® and Surgeon®.

On the other hand some customers that hunt in Alaska ,Canada and Africa tend to choose the Model 70 type action for it’s controlled round feed. We also do specialty work on Browning® BAR to include reboring. One conversion that is popular is the converting the BAR in 30-06 to 330-06 or 35 Whelen. We will also take that well used BAR and give it new life by providing spring upgrades, deep cleaning, inspection and refinishing.

Barrels – These barrel selections are recommended for the best accuracy. The most popular tend to be Bartlein®, Krieger®, Lilja®, Shilen® and Pac-Nor®.

Stocks – Because of our rugged environment and their long lasting functionality, we recommend Manners® and McMillan® stocks for most custom rifles. However we have building several rifles on the wide variety of chassis type stocks too. We suggest pillars and bedding the action using the Darrell Holland method. If you have something else in mind or have seen something you would like us to research, let us know.

Scopes – For target or tactical applications, Vortex, Nightforce, Kahles & Schmidt and Bender get the nod. For hunting applications Vortex®, Swarovski®, Nightforce® and Leupold® tend to be popular. The Leupold® VX-R has been especially popular because it offers a lighted reticle for low light applications such as hunting at dusk/dawn or in the dark timber.

Triggers – We can tune your factory trigger or use an aftermarket trigger such as Timney®, Jewel® and Rifle Basix®, however others are available depending on your preference.

Finishes – We stock Cerakote® ceramic coatings and have used many colors, Basic black is still the most popular, however DFE brown is right up there and then there’s my favorite, two tone black/ Magpul® olive drab. Let us know, maybe your color combo might set the new trend!
