The 300 blk is gaining momentum like a runaway train. The more rifles we build and more rounds we put down range we can understand why, it is a great round! The round was originally developed by JD Jones at SSK about 10 years ago and named the 300 Whisper. It is voodoo quite when suppressed and very accurate, however it was just another wildcat until AAC domesticated it. Now domesticated and thoroughly tested we are finding with 125gr bullets it is on par with the 7.62×39 and can be used for CQB and longer ranges that the traditional 5.56 is utilized. The round is not just for the AR platform either; it works great in that arena, however we have built several in bolt action rifles as well.
