Gun North specializes in functional, reliable and accurate rifles & handguns for the hard use sportsman. In the Northwest the elements can often times stop a factory rifle from performing under wet, cold conditions. Our rifles offer enhanced dependability when you most need it.

Our philosophy at Gun North is “Get you what you want – the right way”. We do true custom work. Ordering a custom firearm is a fun and exciting experience. When the day comes and you’re new or customized firearm finally shows up, you do not want to be disappointed! This is the reason I started doing custom gunsmithing 25 years ago. I started gunsmithing because most times when I hired a gunsmith to do an alteration or a customization, it never came back quite right. Sometimes the gunsmith would try to talk me into doing it his way, and scold my like a child when I would beg to differ. At Gun North we listen! If you know exactly what you want, we build it that way, period. If you pretty sure you know what you want, but unsure of a few details, we are here to counsel or perhaps make a few suggestions. On the other hand, if you are just not sure what you want, we can provide many options and through careful discussion and consideration come up with perfect firearm! We want your new firearm to be envy of friends and a treasure to be proud of. A gem you can admire hunting in field or the range with your peers. Gun North is full service shop and can build or customize many types of firearms.

Bolt Action- We can create your dream rifle, starting with a custom action and match grade barrel of your choice, from there, bottom metal, stock, trigger and optics. We will tailor it for your shooting needs, be it, hunting, target or tactical.

AR-15’s- The advantage of having us build your AR-15 is we build them correctly. We have built hundreds of AR-15 rifles, we understand, timing, gas metering and parts interaction. We will tailor it for your shooting needs, be it, hunting, target or tactical. If you have a AR that someone else has put together and is not a reliable as it should be, we can fix that too.

Other rifles- If you have a rifle that you wish to customize, we can help with your choices. We can help ensure that you don’t waste your hard-earned money buying accessories that can have a detrimental impact on the way your firearm functions or feels. It can be a simple as installing a new stock to your Ruger 10/22 to deciding what optic to mount to your FN SCAR 17.

We also do specialty work on Browning® BAR Mark I’s to include reboring. One conversion that is popular is the converting of the BAR from 30-06 to 338-06 or 35 Whelen. We will also take that well used BAR and give it new life by providing, spring upgrades, deep cleaning, inspection and refinishing.

Shotguns-Do you want to take your old Remington 870 Wingmaster and turn it home defense tool? Make sure you do it correctly, we can install a flex tab kit, dog carrier spring and tune it for maximum reliability. We provide services for all types of shotguns. Let us know how we can help/

Pistols/ Revolvers- We can build you a 1911 from scratch or customize the one you have. We service, repair and upgrade Smith & Wesson revolvers, Glock, Sig Sauer and others pistols.

Cerakote® is the refinishing that we most often use, as it holds up extremely well to salt spray, rain and snow. It comes in many colors, and is a great choice for hard use firearms.
